EMDG Policy


We have a policy within this firm that all exporters are to avail themselves of the EMDG. We are aware there are minimum levels of expenditure before the grant is available but we ensure that all exporters are structured in order to qualify for the grant.

We insist on reviewing their claims and make sure that whatever is available to them is received.

EMDG Entitlement


Recently we took over a client from another Accountant who had totally ignored his client's entitlement to EMDG. This client's revenue was almost entirely due to exports. The previous Accountant did not raise the issue with the client.

The client had incurred :


  • Overseas Travelling
  • Local Advertising
  • Establishment costs of overseas agent
  • Advertising costs incurred overseas
  • Overseas costs of product launch
  • Overseas Agent costs
 
Export Market Grants

The Result


As claims need to be lodged in November in respect of the previous financial year we did not have a long time to present the claim. The claim was lodged on time, and the client has since been structured to obtain the maximum benefits from EMDG.
